Sisu: Road To Revenge (2025)
| Sisu: Road To Revenge (2025) |
If you watched the first Sisu movie and thought, "I wish this guy would fight an army again but with even bigger explosions," then Sisu: Road To Revenge is exactly what you are looking for. It came out in November 2025 and basically takes everything from the first movie and cranks it up to eleven.
The Story
Our grumpy, unstoppable hero Aatami is back. In the first movie, he was just trying to protect his gold from Nazis. This time, it's more personal. He wants to rebuild his family's home in Finland, but he runs into trouble with the Red Army (Soviet soldiers). The main bad guy is a commander named Igor Draganov (played by Stephen Lang from Avatar and Don't Breathe), who has a dark history with Aatami's family.
The plot is very simple: Bad guys chase Aatami, they try to kill him, they fail, and then Aatami makes them regret it very painfully.
What’s Cool About It
The Action: It is absolutely wild. If you thought the first one was crazy, this one has scenes that feel like Mad Max on a budget. There are tanks doing flips, explosions everywhere, and Aatami using everything he can find to take down enemies.
The Bad Guy: Stephen Lang is scary and tough, which makes him a great match for our silent hero. Watching them go head-to-head is satisfying.
No Boring Parts: The movie is short (about 1 hour 30 minutes) and moves fast. It doesn't waste time with long speeches. It knows you are here for the fights.
What’s Not So Cool
It’s Unrealistic: You have to turn your brain off. Aatami survives things that would kill a normal person ten times over. At one point, it feels almost like a violent cartoon (like Looney Tunes but with blood).
Same Old Formula: It follows the exact same path as the first movie. If you wanted a deep, new story, you might be disappointed. It’s just "Aatami kills everyone" part two.
Is it Worth Watching?
Yes, if you like action movies that are violent, loud, and fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously. It’s a great "popcorn movie" for a Friday night when you just want to see bad guys get beaten up by one very angry Finnish grandpa.
Rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars
Best for: People who liked John Wick or the first Sisu.
